One of our most exciting exhibits that we plan to display in our Museum is a 150 year old Fire Apparatus. This hand-pulled, hand- operated Pumper was once whisked to the fire scene by Yonkers Firefighters.
Above picture, circa early 1900's, shows the apparatus in front of the Exempt Firemen Benevolent Association once located on Buena Vista Avenue.

For the Yonkers Fire Department's 100th Anniversary Parade, the Hand Pumper was once again pulled over Yonkers Streets. This time however, it was pulled on a trailer, not to a fire, but to a celebration.
