Fire Houses
Arranged on the wall below are pictures of various Fire Houses which were located around the City. Many have been demolished, but a few are still in use today. Some were originally built to house Volunteer Fire Companies, but were annexed to the Paid Fire Department as it expanded.

On September 1, 1896, the "Palisade Station" became home to the Yonkers Paid Fire Department. Stationed there were Hope Hook & Ladder Company and Lady Washington Hose Company.
